Hi. I’m Robyn, and I provide affordable content marketing services for small businesses in Boston (and beyond).

OK, brass tacks.

Does any of this resonate with you?

  • You own a small business (maybe you’re a solo owner, an office of two, or you have a handful of employees).
  • You need help with your marketing, your content, maybe even your social media.
  • You don’t have a huge budget, but you do have some budget.
  • You’re willing to take direction and move quickly.
  • You’re not precious when it comes to content.

If yes, keep reading.

I’ve been working as a freelance content marketer since 2002. I’ve worked with agencies and bigger brands, but what I’ve noticed—especially in the AI era—is that the gap is widening between what big companies can afford and what small businesses actually need.

That’s where I come in.

Say hello to my affordable content marketing services for small businesses.

I don’t do cookie-cutter marketing plans.

I don’t hand you a 20-page strategy deck and wish you luck.

I look at what you’ve got, figure out what actually matters, and help you move forward quickly and affordably.

Here’s the thing: You don’t need to do every content marketing tactic under the sun for your small business to thrive.

I call this the “not every business needs to be on TikTok” rule. Yeah, maybe your business does need to be on TikTok (and if I think so, I’ll tell you).

But there’s a better chance that what you do need is what I call the “blocking and tackling” of content marketing:

  • A clear, functional website
  • A solid Google Business Profile
  • Social media, when and if it makes sense
  • Content that actually helps people understand what you do

We start with priorities.

If your website needs help, we start there. If your Google Business Profile is weak, we fix that. If you can only afford to improve a few pages, we do that.

Remember, perfection is the enemy of good-enough-to-get-out-the-door-and-start-working-for-you.

A recent example

My best friend is a local acupuncturist. She asked how to get more local traffic to her website.

I took a quick look and immediately saw the issue: Her Google Business Profile needed work, and her website wasn’t optimized for Worcester, Mass, even though she’s right next door in Holden.

So I . . .

I didn’t hem and haw or hand her a bloated six-month strategy or plan (which would have overwhelmed her). I gave her simple, yet effective “next steps” that she could run with (along with some strong content to boot).

That’s the kind of help I provide through my affordable content marketing services in Boston (and beyond).

What kind of help do you actually need?

A lot of agencies and even some well-intentioned freelancers push the same mix of services like blog posts, social media, email campaigns, or everything all at once.

But as I said before, you don’t need to do every content marketing tactic under the sun for your business to grow.

Instead, I craft content marketing services for small businesses based on:

  • What you do
  • Who you serve
  • What your goals are
  • What you can realistically afford

For example, a law firm doesn’t need the same approach as a hair salon. A nonprofit doesn’t need the same approach as a landscaper.

But almost all of them benefit from strong content marketing fundamentals.

Let’s talk about cost (because I know you’re thinking about it)

I’ve been doing this work for over 20 years.

Yes, AI has changed things. And honestly? That’s part of why I’m able to work faster and keep things more affordable. (Check out my AI philosophy here.)

But you’re not paying for AI. You’re paying for my noggin and insights:

  • Knowing what actually matters
  • Knowing what to ignore
  • Getting something done that works

For a small, focused project (like the acupuncture example above), you might be looking at something in the $300–$500 range. Sometimes less. Sometimes more. Again, it depends on what you need and what you can afford.

And yes—there’s an elephant in the room: budget.

I’m flexible. Honest. The best thing you can do is think about what you can realistically spend, whether that’s a one-time project or a commitment for a few months.

Bottom line: You tell me what your budget is, and I’ll tell you what’s possible.

And if you’ve got champagne taste on a beer budget, I’ll tell you that too. 😉

My process, how this works

  • You email me and tell me a little about your business, where you’re located, and what you need help with (include your website if you have one).
  • We set up a Zoom call. The call is free.
  • During the call, we’ll talk about where you’re at, where you want to go, what the priorities are, and your budget.
  • If we vibe—if you like me and I like you—I’ll follow up with what I recommend, what it will cost, and the timeline.
  • If that works for you, I’ll send over my freelance agreement for you to sign, and we’ll get started.
  • You’ll likely have a little homework before I begin—questions to answer, access to provide, materials to share. The better the input, the better the output.

Intrigued? You’ve got nothing to lose by reaching out.
